Pesto

Adam made some really good pesto for us the other night (an entire 4 course dinner, actually), and it was so delicious!  I didn’t take a picture because it tasted that good and we ate it up pretty quickly.  But I still wanted to share it.

I don’t have a real recipe with clear instructions, but if you are up for a little experimentation I have the ingredients and some rough guidance.

Note: For garlic lovers only!

Pesto

Lots of fresh basil (we grow our own, so just a couple of handfuls out of the garden. Otherwise maybe a pack or two from the store)

5 or 6 garlic cloves

Some shredded parmesan cheese

Olive Oil

Combine the above ingredients in a food processor until very finely chopped and mixed together.  Add it to some angel hair pasta or thin spaghetti noodles and toss together.  SO good!  I might also note that it causes your mouth to smell intensely like garlic, so if you are going dancing afterwards (like we did), you may need to chew on a few cloves to freshen up your breath.  Otherwise, enjoy!

Also on the menu for the evening:

Guacamole and chips

Homemade bread with vinegar/olive oil for dipping

Pesto Pasta

Frozen Yogurt with fresh fruit and chocolate chips
